burberry outlet store interiorThomas Burberry worked on making new fabrics to use in his goods, and he came out with one revolutionary fabric that was breathable and waterproof, and its success gained him enough prestiage to open up his own store in London to sell his luxurious goods.

Burberry was seeked for several odd jobs, one for example was to design new uniforms for the officers' of the British Military. The Burberry trademark did not make an appearance until the early 1920's, and then the pattern was first seen on a trench coat.

In the 1960's, the Burberry trademark check was instantly recognizable when its fashion status extended, making its appearance on Umbrellas, luggager, scarves and handbags.

Burberry had a very british, wealthy and luxurious image, and this appearance made it very popular in the US and Asian markets, and the company soon expanded its marketing to overseas.

Burberry continually is coming up with new designs, in 1997 Burberry hired a woman by the name of Rose Marie Bravo, and she brought in to the company numerous new designs, and new products. Bravo also started an ad campaign with the supermodel Kate Moss, which certainly help bring light to the brand.
